Hip-hop and R&B recording artist Ty Dolla $ign’s first claim to fame was in 2010 through his appearance on fellow Los Angeles rapper YG’s “Toot It and Boot It,” which he wrote and produced for Def Jamz Recordings.
After subsequently signing major record deals with Atlantic and Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang Records, Ty went on to release multiple highly successful mixtapes in addition to his Platinum smash hit “Paranoid” featuring B.o.B. in 2013 which quickly climbed the billboard charts, officially putting him on the map.
Often compared to the late Nate Dogg, the South Central native’s sonically muscular sound walks the fine line between singing and rapping. Ty’s distinctive tone along with countless appearances, co-writing credits and inescapable hits like” Or Nah” featuring The Weeknd and fellow weed aficionado Wiz Khalifa, and “Blasé” featuring Future and Rae Sremmurd, has led him into becoming a rising household name in his own right. The star is now currently touring internationally with Krept and Konan, in addition to opening for Future on the “Purple Reign” Tour.
This April, Ty Dolla $ign teams up with HUF, signing on to be the face of their highly anticipated annual 420 drop. Free TC, Ty’s latest album release, is in stores now with a tour slated for later this year.
